Some days ago I was surfing through some internet marketing forums, and I found out that most of the questions asked on the Seo board were mainly about Google, from how they could get indexed quickly to how to check if Google has indexed their blog, how to decrease their Alexa rank and increase their PageRank. And most times the questions are left unanswered this prompted me to write an article on how to check if Google has indexed your website or new blog. There are several ways you can check this but I’m going to be covering the simplest methods you can use in doing so.
Ways to Check
Google Webmaster: If you do have a blog then definitely you must own a google.com account, with that same account you can login to the Google webmaster site and check your index status. I’m assuming you already submitted your article to the Google webmasters so I’ll just go to the point on how you can check the index status. Log in to the Google webmaster tools and click on your sites name, on the next page you would see your indexed status in numbers. On the right side of the page there is a button called sitemap under it is the numbers of how many pages Google has indexed on your website. If its 0 then sorry Google haven’t indexed yet but if the numbers is high, then your blog or site has been indexed. Here’s a screenshot to show you the sitemap.
You can see the number of pages Google has indexed on one of my blogs. It’s that easy to check. You can even do more on the google webmaster site
Google Search: This method is actually easier than the previous method and I’m sorry I saved it for last, I had to make sure you read the whole article 
, forgive me. With this method all you have to do is go over to google.com and on the search box a code along with your site name. Here is the code in quote “site: yoursitename.com”. After that on the search results if your blog shows up in the result then that means your blog has been indexed by Google and you should rejoice. Here’s a screenshot of the code up above in action.
These up here are truly the best method to check if your website has been indexed, if it hasn’t not been indexed don’t worry here’s a tip on how you can get it indexed. Concentrate on building the pagerank and google would definitely index the site fast. And your blog would be ranking high on serp in no time.
